WINTER  2025 ENRICHMENT 

The Foundation is excited to share with you the 2025 WINTER Enrichment offerings!

​

This winter, we are offering 8-week sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays filled with a wide variety of classes run by EFS faculty and outside vendors. 

​

Registration will open on MobileArq on Thursday, January 2nd at 9:00 AM and will close on Sunday, January 5th. Spaces are limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and some classes sell out quickly.

​

Important reminders:

  • Classes will begin immediately after school, from 3:05 - 4:25 p.m.

  • Tuesday AM class will run 7:30 - 8:20 a.m

  • All classes are held on the school premises.

  • Children must only be signed up for classes offered for their specific grade.

  • Send your child in with an after-school snack.

  • If your child attends after-care, they will be taken after their enrichment class to Tiny Treasures, where they can commence after-care from 4:25 p.m. 

  • If children are picked up late (after 4:35 p.m.), a late charge of $10 per child is applied.

  • If the program's minimum number of participants are not met the program will not run.

Makeup Policy:
We are building in one week at the end of each session for any makeup due to teacher illness or weather issues.

 

Class Descriptions:

 

TUESDAY AM

 

Costume & Set Design - Banek & Joworski (4-6)**: Students will help create sets and make costumes for the musical, “The Jungle Book”

TUESDAY

 

American Girls Get Crafty – Rivera (K-3): Calling all girls and their dolls to get crafty with Mrs. Rivera. Each week we will take an adventure with an American Girl where we will learn a little, craft a little, and sometimes dance a little.

 

Sports of All Sorts – Sports Universe (K-2): A fun and innovative class designed to teach the fundamentals of sports while incorporating fun and skill building games and challenges. Come and learn baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball and more with Coach Rick! (8 person minimum to run program)

   

Chess Challenge – Wallace (3-6): Students will be introduced to the game of chess. They will learn how to set up the board, the names and moves of each piece and intro to basic strategy. Once the basics are understood, students will begin playing one another in timed matches each week. The class will also teach proper chess etiquette and sportsmanship. 

 

Writing a Children's Book - Santalla (4-6): Students will learn and create a children’s book, as well as have it bound and published.

 

 

WEDNESDAY

 

 

Intro to Puppetry – Eclectic Chic Boutique (K-2): Dive into the world of puppetry! We'll combine storytelling, music, movement, and art to create a theme-based adventure where you'll explore characters, creatures, and their habitats. Through paper craft, masks, improvisation, shadow puppets, hand puppets, and voice acting, you'll build your own puppet collection, learning set design, puppet control, and teamwork!

 

Science Mysteries - Mad Science (K-2): Kids explore a variety of introductory topics in engineering, physics, and chemistry, as they learn how science can impact our everyday lives. This high-energy course takes scientific exploration to the next level, offering a mesmerizing journey into the world of chemistry, physics, and biology. (8 person minimum to run program)

Dance Mania – Rivera (1-4): Learn a choreographed dance over 8 weeks and present a mini recital to friends and family.

 

Fantastic Forces - Mad Science (3 & 4): Dive into the world of Fantastic Forces, where each class is a thrilling exploration of science's most intriguing principles! Uncover the secrets of chemical reactions in "Che Mystery,"electrify your curiosity with "Current Events," and soar to new heights in "Fantastic Fliers." Discover the "Fundamental Forces" that shape our universe, marvel at the "Science of Magic," and build awe-inspiring creations in "Super Structures." Feel the thrill of "Under Pressure" and make a splash with "Wacky Water." Get ready for an action-packed adventure that will ignite young minds and unleash their inner scientists! (8 person minimum to run program)

 

 

THURSDAY

 

Yoga – MindfulNest (K-1): Join Kelly for a fun filled yoga class where children will be active, build confidence, and learn to manage the emotions that they experience in their day-to-day activities, This program will be taught by a certified Yoga instructor and will include cardiovascular conditioning, fun original songs, yoga games, and all the traditional benefits of yoga - mindfulness, meditation, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation.

 

Intro to Robotics/ RoboThink Jr. - RoboThink (K-2): RoboThink Jr. is the perfect introduction to robotics and engineering for young minds! This engaging program provides hands-on enrichment through play, helping kids develop spatial reasoning, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. With a mix of structured lessons, creative challenges, and free-building opportunities, kids will have so much fun building and exploring that they won’t even realize they’re learning! It’s a fantastic way for your child to make friends, play, and grow—all at the same time. (8 person minimum to run program)

 

Craft Corner – Rivera (2-4): Come get crafty with Mrs. Rivera. Each week students will create seasonal inspired crafts that they will be sure to treasure.

3D Printing – Pannullo (3-6): Students will explore the basics of 3D printing. Using Tinkercard to make 3D designs. They will also get a chance to 3D print their work. This club will focus on measuring, scaling, scanning, problem-solving and real-world applications of 3D printing.

Woobles Crochet - Smith (5&6): Learn to crochet The Wooble way! Children will learn how to crochet by making a small penguin using a beginner-friendly Wooble crochet kit.

 

DISCLAIMER: The Foundation reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, if needed. By registering, you acknowledge that the named applicant is emotionally ready, is in good health, and has your permission to participate in this program. You agree that there are no refunds after the first week of classes. You also agree to pay the late pick-up fee of $10 for each child picked-up after 4:35 on

any enrichment day.


TO ORDER: Log onto the NEW MobileArq - Next app. Go to Online Stores and select FOUNDATION for the school type. Select the Session and Day for which you would like to register (repeat, if you would like
to register for multiple days.) Please note you will need to order for each child separately (like you do for school lunches). For example, go in and select a specific class option for child A. Do not change the quantity. Select the child’s name and then add it to the cart. Then, continue shopping and place the order for child B, or for the next class for child A. Please make sure you specify which child you are ordering for with each class order.


CHECKOUT: MobileArq Checkout is done through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can click “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” on the login screen and check out using a credit card. Once you have ordered, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Please review it and make sure it contains everything you intended to order for the enrichment classes.
