About Us
For more than 30 years, the Essex Fells Foundation for Educational Excellence, known as "The Foundation", has been a driving force in enriching education, empowering teachers, and elevating the student experience.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our parents and community, we have proudly provided Essex Fells Elementary School with over $1.3 million in funding. This support has enabled enhanced technology, cultural arts, educational programs, and essential supplies and equipment, well beyond the limits of the school budget. These investments play a vital role in sustaining the school's high standards and building a legacy of excellence that will continue to shine for generations to come.
Our History
The Foundation was born from a moment of challenge. In 1994, Essex Fells residents recognized a critical gap. State-funded school budgets alone couldn’t support the exceptional educational experiences our community values. In response, they mobilized both financial and human resources to support the programs at Essex Fells School. From that spark, the Foundation emerged.
Our Mission
The Foundation remains committed to its mission: empowering students and teachers and sustaining an innovative, well-rounded education. We continue to evolve and adopt new strategies to deepen our impact. In a borough where “the school is our town,” the Foundation has become more than a benefactor, it's a heartbeat of the community.
